Sandvik has obtained a significant underground mining tools order from Australian-based Evolution Mining. The order was booked within the second quarter and valued at roughly SEK 300 million. Deliveries are scheduled to start within the third quarter 2024 and proceed over the following 12 months.
The order consists of Sandvik’s superior underground loaders, vans and improvement drills, to be applied in numerous mines in Australia. “We’re very happy that we proceed to be a trusted accomplice to Evolution Mining and that we strengthen our partnership additional as they renew large a part of their fleet,” says Mats Eriksson, President of Sandvik Mining and Rock Options.
Evolution’s principal underground operations in Australia are the lately acquired Northparkes (80%) copper-gold mine in NSW, the Ernest Henry (100%) copper-gold mine in Queensland, and the Mungari (100%) gold mine in Western Australia.
