IHC Mining has been awarded a contract to produce six transportable cable reelers to FQM Zambia for the Kansanshi copper and gold mine.
These cable reelers shall be built-in with FQM’s electric-powered Hitachi EX5600-7E excavators, supporting sustainable and secure mining operations in Zambia’s North-Western province.
The scope contains design, fabrication & corrosion safety, store meeting & manufacturing facility acceptance testing (FAT), FCA supply to Cape City, plus commissioning help & coaching.
Cited product highlights embody roof sheeting for cable safety & lowered de-rating; plus a scraper & brush system for cable cleansing. They use a twin drum system, with feeder and primary drum preparations for optimum in-pit operations.
A Radio Frequency (RF) controller allows distant operation of the reeler to scale back human exercise close to the excavator; plus they’ve a singular design for manoeuvrability & floor clearance. IHC Mining says they’re additionally low upkeep for extra uptime.
