Purpose- and AltX-listed Shuka Minerals has began the Section 1 drilling programme on the No.2 orebody at its Kabwe zinc mine, in Zambia.
The No.2 orebody is open at depth and the preliminary diamond drill gap can be angled at 65° and is deliberate to intersect the orebody under the present workings at a depth of about 220 m to 230 m.
Silver, vanadium, gallium and germanium are current on the No.2 orebody, though these metals have by no means been the main focus of exploration and testing in earlier operations.
Shuka intends to undertake additional work to establish the potential of those commodities as a part of the continued programme.
