I’m making an attempt to grasp connection between mnemonic code and passphrase relating to safety.
Let say I’ve a low entropy mnemonic code eg. “abandon abandon abandon abandon abandon abandon abandon abandon abandon abandon abandon about” on this instance entropy is 0.
If I exploit this in any {hardware} pockets, I’m fairly certain bitcoins might be gone instantly.
But when I add passphrase with 128bit of entropy. (let ignore tips on how to generate passphrase with 128bit of entropy, let say for sake of argument that now we have it)
Is then my {hardware} pockets safe with 128 little bit of entropy even when entropy of mnemonic code is 0 ?
Principally I’m making an attempt to grasp how is entropy of mnemonic code and entropy of passphrase impacts general safety of {hardware} pockets ?
After penning this query I’m considering perhaps connection shouldn’t be liner like a sum.
That you could simply add two of them collectively(mnemonic code and passphrase) and get whole.
Thanks for solutions.
