SSR Mining Inc has introduced that the Marigold Mine, in Nevada, USA, achieved 5 Moz of gold manufacturing on December 30, 2024.
Marigold has been in steady operation for greater than 35 years and has produced greater than 2 Moz of gold since its acquisition by SSR Mining in 2014, together with a report 278,000 oz of gold manufacturing in 2023.
Marigold is a big run-of-mine heap leach operation with a number of open pits, waste rock stockpiles, leach pads, a carbon absorption facility, and a carbon processing and gold refining facility. The gold doré bars produced on the mine are shipped to a third-party refinery.
