Epiroc says it has gained a big order for underground mining tools – together with vehicles and drill rigs – and aftermarket assist from Hindustan Zinc Restricted in India.
Hindustan Zinc Restricted, a Vedanta Group firm, is the world’s largest built-in zinc producer and the world’s third largest silver producer.
The corporate has ordered a fleet of mine vehicles in addition to rigs for face drilling and manufacturing drilling. The tools will likely be used at Hindustan Zinc’s operations throughout the state of Rajasthan in northwestern India, specifically Rampura Agucha, Sindesar Khurd, Zawar, Kayad and Rajpura Dariba.
